3D Design and Visualisation Software
UC-Win/Road
The rich functionality of UC-win/Road facilitates the creation of a 3D Virtual Reality (VR) environment in a very short time with terrain editing, traffic setting, modelling and advanced environmental features, allowing the user to replicate real life networks. The program offers
- Outstanding VR creation and operation
- High quality simulation and presentation functions
- Cutting edge tools and 3D real time virtual reality
The software gives support to engineers in road planning, design and development and provides the ability to view the surrounding landscape, model alternative network improvements, control the animation of vehicle movements and to monitor how individual junctions operate within the network with realistic queuing and dispersion algorithms.
Complex road networks are easily created. Road alignments, rivers and waterways, lakes, highway structures and flight paths can be entered manually into the software or by inputting standard CAD and GIS data files. From this data 3D models of roads, tunnels, bridges and rivers are automatically generated in relation to the terrain.
UC-Win/Road’s Visual Options Tool makes a diverse range of visual representations possible:
- real-time control of time, weather and lighting
- day and night time features with a range of lighting conditions using the artificial light feature
- generation of traffic streams based on traffic volume, vehicle profiles, traffic light configurations
- simulation of traffic obstructions, disasters and accidents
UC-win/Road supports engineers in road planning, design and development by providing the ability to create real time 3D virtual reality presentation models. With UC-win/Road users can:
- view the surround landscape; provide design and construction consultation
- visually examine alternative project options
- control the animation of vehicle movements
- create realistic driving simulations
Large scale VR support allows up to 20km grid of roads single file with 1cm precision. This means for example that both 1cm dice and 20km road structure can be generated in the same space.
Performance setting for 3D trees and other graphical objects allow a level of detail to maximum size of 8000km3 to be displayed smoothly and dynamically.
Completed 3D VR projects can be used for consultation with local communities, authorities and other stakeholder groups.
UC-Win/Road is used by over 12,000 clients in Japan and over 1,000 globally, ranging from national/ local authorities, civil engineering and construction companies, transportation consultants, architects and universities.
