TRANSYT 15.5 Now Available:


We are pleased to announce the release of TRANSYT 15.5, the latest minor release of the popular software for modelling and optimising traffic signals.


In addition to providing robust traffic signal optimisation, TRANSYT can also provide comprehensive modelling of traffic networks including those of mixed control. TRANSYT can also assist with design work, with newer features including graphical lane-flow overlays that ensure junction layout and lane designation are optimised for predicted traffic flows.


Other features and enhancements include:

  • Lane-flow diagram “flow overlays”
  • Ease-of-use improvements
  • Graphical interface improvements
  • Diagram improvements
  • Reporting Improvements

Simply email software@trl.co.uk with your details and the team will be in contact with your download code. New customers and those with older versions of TRANSYT are welcome to contact us to request a price quote to obtain the latest version.


GATEway Project Update - September 2016:


Led by TRL, GATEway (Greenwich Automated Transport Environment) is an £8m research project to understand and overcome technical, legal and societal challenges of implementing automated vehicles in the urban environment. With interest in the project continuing to grow, further details of key developments over the past six months can be found here.


MOVA Tools 2.1 now available:


A new version of MOVA Tools is available for download from the Downloads section here on the TRL Software website. Customers do not need to email us to request a download code. Simply access the Downloads area of the website, enter your details located under the "Download Tools and Demos" section and select "MOVA Tools" from the list of available downloads.


Junctions 9.0.1 Maintenance Release now available:


Junctions 9.0.1 is now available to customers who currently hold a valid Junctions 9 (ARCADY 9 and/or PICADY 9) Maintenance Agreement. This maintenance release includes a number of bug fixes and enhancements. A summary of the changes can be found here. Customers with a valid Junctions 9 Maintenance Agreement are welcome to contact us to request a download code.


Junctions 8.0.6 Maintenance Release now available:


Junctions 8.0.6 is now available to customers who currently hold a valid Junctions 8 (ARCADY 8 and/or PICADY 8) Maintenance Agreement. This maintenance release includes a number of bug fixes and also includes the ability to import Junctions 9 files. A summary of the changes made in Junctions 8.0.6 can be found here. TRANSYT 15.1.1 is now available to customers who currently hold a valid TRANSYT 15 Maintenance Agreement. A summary of the changes made in TRANSYT 15.1.1 can be found in the release notes for this release.  Customers with a valid TRANSYT 15 Maintenance Agreement are welcome to contact us to request a download code for the latest build.


Junctions 9 now available:


Junctions 9 is now available to buy via the Online Store. Discounts are available on multiple licences, so contact us to receive a tailored quote.

TRANSYT 15.1 Released:


TRANSYT 15.1 is now available to download. Enhancements include the ability to specify PCU factors for each traffic type and the ability to split normal traffic types into sub-categories (e.g. "Lights" and "Heavies" with associated PCU factors). Existing TRANSYT 15 customers with a valid maintenance agreement can contact us to request a download code for this latest maintenance release.
